Homology, Geometry, and Combinatorics of Representations

May 29-30, 2005

Sino-German Science Center, Beijing

This is an international workshop and everybody is welcome to attend. The workshop focuses on the perspectives for the cooperation between representation theorists in China and Germany. This cooperation (in particular between groups in Beijing and Bielefeld) has a long and fruitful tradition which goes back at least 15 years. In fact, it can be traced further back: Herui Zhang (1911-1995) was a student of Emil Artin and Ernst Witt at the University of Hamburg (1935-1945) and became later the dean of the School of Mathematics at Beijing Normal University.
