WS 2005/06
Time and Location:
Friday 9 - 11 in D1.320
Prerequisites:
Useful is some familiarity with basic concepts from category theory, in particular knowledge about module categories (or abelian categories). For a concise introduction, I recommend the relevant chapters of the book "Rings of quotients" of Bo Stenström.
Material:
There are some notes on Derived categories, resolutions, and Brown representability from a Summer School at Chicago in 2004, plus additional Exercises. These notes have more references. In addition, I recommend various surveys and introductory papers of Bernhard Keller, to be found on his homepage.
